Life is like a Time Machine

It’s been quite a while since my last blog update. It is true that when you are stressed, you can’t write anything. This is especially true if the people who surround you are giving you more headaches. Sometimes I wish that I could turn back the time, but if I did, then I may not have the most important person in my life – my son.

I admit that I am not satisfied with the life I have right now… And I can’t enjoy it to the fullest. Sometimes I am staring at some old pictures in my past and wishing to go back to that moment. Just like the movie, Butterfly Effect 2.

Butterfly Effect 2

But, I believe the same as that story that no matter how you keep going back to the past and trying to fix it, there’s only 2 results that would occur, either you make it worse or it will end up the same.

Life is too short, we cannot multiply, we cannot subtract but we can divide or add. I wish I could multiply my life so I could spend more time and achieve my goals. I’m afraid that after 30 years or so, I am still standing at the same spot without progress. I wish that I could check the book of my future to see who I am going to be with, how many kids I will have and what life am I going to have. Will it take 5 years to fulfill that? 10?

Time Machine

I wish there was a way to figure it all out. I don’t want to be one of the people who divided their life too much and attempted suicide because they can’t handle their lives anymore. I still believe in God for giving us all of our trials and I know that everything happens for a reason.

Happy Independence Day America

Days run so fast. If there are only magical spells that let me write all of the things I want to say, then it would be easier to update my blog.

I would like to greet all Americans out there with a very Happy Happy Fourth of July.

Before I slept last night, I was able to watch Eagle Eye. It was a nice film and I must say that I watched it at the right time. I don’t even know what the movie is all about, and then I realized it was a movie about Terrorism against United States. And some innocent people had been involved-activated to do what the mysterious girl on the phone asked for and tried to survive just to protect their love ones and the people of the United States as well.

Here’s the Trailer of the Movie, it was release last 2008.

Plot Outline: Eagle Eye is a race-against-time thriller starring Shia LaBeouf, Michelle Monaghan, Rosario Dawson, Anthony Mackie and Billy Bob Thornton. Jerry Shaw (LaBeouf) and Rachel Holloman (Monaghan) are two strangers thrown together by a mysterious phone call from a woman they have never met. Threatening their lives and family, she pushes Jerry and Rachel into a series of increasingly dangerous situations using the technology of everyday life to track and control their every move. As the situation escalates, these two ordinary people become the countrys most wanted fugitives, who must work together to discover what is really happening and more importantly, why. If everyone thinks that the 4th of July is only celebrated in real, it’s not. GameSamba, which is a game publisher of Realms Online (http://realmsonline.gamesamba.com/) celebrates their Dawn of Freedom 4th of July event.

Cyberzone’s Women of Cosplay 2011

It’s been very busy these last couple of days and I am still preparing my costume for Toycon 2011. Last Saturday, my team-mates in The Philippines’ X-MEN Cosplay Team assigned Anna and I to attend the Cyberzone’s Women of Cosplay 2011.

SM Cyberzone's Woman of Cosplay 2011

Cyberzone gave our team 5 slots to represent our group, but unfortunately, only Anna a.k.a. Storm and I are available. There’s 2 schedules for our team last Saturday, first the Toycon Presscon at Eurotel Function Room, Pedro Gil, Manila and 2nd the Women of Cosplay 2011.

I woke up around 6:00am in the morning and left around 7:00am. I arrived at the mall around 9:45am. I went to the Comfort Room to go pee pee and re-touch my makeup because I am perspiring. There’s a long walk from LRT2-Santolan Station to SM Marikina. A very long foot bridge is connected from the LRT Train to that mall, around 5-10 minutes’ walk depending on how fast you can go.

When I came back, they are already rehearsing; I took a couple of shots of the stage while heading towards them. The practice didn’t last long and I wasn’t able to do the rehearsal >.< Then they just briefed Anna and I to help me out. I was so nervous, I honestly felt like I didn’t deserve to be part of it, for me, there are so many Woman Cosplayers out there in PH who are well-known compared to me. I have Cosplayed only few characters.

I told one of the staff members that I am nervous and then I asked him why us (X-Men). He said, “To make a difference in the Cosplay Industry. Because, as we all know most PH Women Cosplayers portray Japanese-anime characters and since you guys are Cosplaying Superheroes, it makes you different than the others”. Anna and I were so touched, and we realized that he was right. :)

The Event started at 3:00pm and since the practice was over, I just hung-out and walked around the Mall while Anna went to Divisoria to buy a wig. I went to buy soap, extra socks, tissue and water. Then, when I came back there’s a free lunch, oh and btw, they also gave us a free breakfast.

The other female Cosplayers and I started to get dressed around 2:00pm. After putting my make up on, I took pictures of the Female Cosplayers with me.

I am so nervous but it was fun! The Event started and I am afraid to forget my Catwalk as Anna and I are the first people to walk. But everything goes well and the highlight of the Event is the catwalk of Ms. Alodia Gosiengfiao who is very successful in the Cosplay Industry and the first female Celebrity known because of her Cosplaying in the Philippines.

Scream out loud…

I want to scream out loud without saying word… It’s been so long since I sat on my favorite place, staring the roads, looking at the skies and feel the wind… If I was there, I feel like I am the strongest person, I may not be standing on the highest peak of the mountain, but it makes me feel like no problems can ever reach me…

Is this the real life?
Is this just fantasy?
Caught in a landslide,
No escape from reality
Open your eyes, Look up to the skies and see,
I’m just a poor girl(boy), I need no sympathy,
Because I’m easy come, easy go, Little high, little low,
Any way the wind blows doesn’t really matter to me, to me.. (Bohemian Rhapsody)

The pain isn’t easy to go away, but I won’t complain. I wish that there will be a real happiness in my life one day…

The Philippines X-Men Cosplay Team June 4, 2011 X-Men: First Class “X-Force” @ Robinson Manila

I as Domino, Cable, Pyro, Spyke and Gambit was assigned in Robinson Manila last day (June 4, 2011). Call time is 1:00pm and I arrived around 1:20pm and started to prepare because the appearances will start at 2:00 and last until 6:00pm.

I’m in a bit of a hurry to put my make up on but I stay calm and relaxed or else while putting on the white make up, I will have perspiration and get sweaty. My hands are kind of shaking, I wasn’t able to eat my lunch and only drank coffee when I left my home. My sister-in-law fixes my hair a bit before I leave too. She gave me half a piece of corn while I’m on my way to Robinsons Manila. Haha! Yeah! My breakfast and lunch is that – Corn :)

When I’m good to go, I wait for the 4 of them to go outside the Men’s CR and to bring our belongings to a safe area, where no robbers are allowed :)

I don’t know what to do yet, it’s different compared to June 1st. We stayed at the back of ticketing booth where there is an X-Men Poster and free face painting for people of all ages that’s going to watch X-Men: First Class.

We also take a solo shot for each of us.

My Epic shot with Cable. BTW, Cable is Domino’s Partner in X-Force.

So then, some kids arrived and asked to have pictures taken with us and it continuously happened, before they have their face painted, they asked first to have pictures with us or sometimes adults also asked to have our pictures taken with them.

After an hour, there was a guy who came and assisted us to go around the Mall. We went to the First Floor and walked to every side of the mall up to the 4th Floor. Some people who passed by asked us to take some pictures with their kids. Then, when we came back, we took a break and ate our food. They brought us KFC with some kind of Chicken Fillet. Our break was around 4:15pm until right before 5:00pm.

I am so hungry and I feel like a monster while I am eating.  Then, after that, there are still people who are asking to have pictures even those people who are not watching X-Men. It’s free and it’s our pleasure to have them taken our pictures.

Before we finish, we ask the guy from the mobile to take a photo of us for a group shot. We copied the poster!

I really had a great time yesterday with my team mates even though we are only few.  All of the Philippines X-Men Team will be seen at the upcoming TOYCON 2011, June 19, 2011 @ SM Megamall

See you all there!
